Winter Show Jumping Championships - Arena UK - 6th April 2025
We had 6 team members taking part in Winter show jumping championship, it was a first championship for some of our members and horses who soaked up the atmosphere and had lots of fun, the courses where full up with lots of challenges.
Our first riders were riding as a team in the 60cm mixed class which consisted of 2 rounds to ride, first outdoors then second indoors.
The team was Naomi Berryman-Watts, Tallulah Northover-Dodd, Sarah Cavill and Isabella Berryman-watts. They all rode lovely and the team came 11th just outside the rosettes but Tallulah and her clever little pony Ebony was our highest placed rider 18th individually out of 90 riders (great result for her first champs)
Claire Butcher then rode in the 70cm as an individual and had 2 great clear rounds with an amazing result to come 7th out of 126 riders.
Alanna Brosnan was our other individual rider in the 80cm with her lovely grey mare. They did really well considering this was the mares first championship.
Very well done to everyone you all rode well and supported each other and thank you to all who supported the riders.

BRC Arena Eventing Championships - Aston Le Walls - 1st June
This weekend we had 9 riders represent the club at the BRC Arena Eventing Championships at Aston Le Walls.
Claire Butcher, Tori Tilstone, Rachel Joslin and Sarah Cavill rode in the 70 senior class as a team.
The course was twisty with 9 show jumps straight through water to 12 XC fences ending on a 80cm Joker fence. Claire had a fabulous clear round coming home with time penalties for going too fast! Tori had another great clear round with just 2 seconds over the time allowance which had her finishing in 10th place overall. Sarah had a pole with Rachel's horse not wanting to drop down the bank in the xc but as it was a team event they did really well against 21 teams coming home in 5th place and in the rosettes.
Antonia Gorbitz rode in the junior 70 on the Sunday and had a great round with just a pole but then realised she had jumped an 80cm xc fences and sadly eliminated herself but great riding though.
Our last riders were Isobel Hinde, Ben Nichols, Harry Tier and Amelia Anley riding together as a team in the 80cm Junior class. Isobel was the path finder again round a twisty course but it didn't faze them going clear but sadly too fast putting her into a fabulous 10th place overall. Ben also had a wonderful round going clear and just a few time faults again on the quick side but ended in the rosettes in 3rd place. Harry had a pole and few time faults ending up in 12th and Amelia's pony decided he didn't want to play and sadly didn't finish the course. However as it was a team event we had 3 good results and they were in a fabulous position and were sitting in 2nd and then moved up to 1st. What a result National Champions, so excited for you four, very well done.
We are so proud of all our riders and those that supported them, thank you so much. Putting our Club firmly on the BRC Arena Eventing map.
