Clinics & Training

THRC is committed to organising a variety of training clinics to suit all our members. The training clinics we organise are not run to generate income for the Club, but must cover the cost of the trainer and the venue used. This means we need a full complement of riders for all the sessions to enable clinics to run. Ours clinics are also open to non-members at an additonal cost.

Please note the following:

Clinic Cancellation/Withdrawal Policy

Any participant cancelling/withdrawing before the closing date of entries will be entitled to a full refund of any fees paid. Unfortunately we are unable to refund any fees paid for cancellations/withdrawals after close of entries under any circumstances, other than a replacement being found, and any unpaid fees must still be paid.

Event Cancellation Policy In the event of a THRC event being cancelled all competitors will be entitled to a refund of entry fees minus the booking fee.

Payment is via My Riding Life - no BACS payments (unless stated otherwise).

Insurance all non-members MUST have their own 3rd party insurance.

Working Equitation Clinic with Suzanne Dipple Sunday 16th June

Come and join us for a Working Equitation clinic with Suzanne Dipple.

In this clinic Suzanne will explain the origin of the sport, how the sport works and what is involved. The clinic will involve you working through a course of obstacles one by one and seeing how they all work and should be performed.

Working Equitiation is a sport which shows three main factors: horsemanship, submission amd control of the horse. In competition these are shown across 3 phases - Dressage, Ease of Handling and Speed. In championship classes a fourth phase of herding cattle is added.

There are several obstacles required to be manoeuvred in a certain way in the Ease of Handling phase; the obstacles typically represent when horses used to work the fields, farms and cattle.

There are 5 levels of Working Equitation in the UK: Walk & Trot, Novice, Intermediate B, Intermediate A & Advanced.

Time: 9am

Individuals or Pairs

Open to THRC members and non-members.

NON-MEMBERS MUST HAVE THEIR OWN THIRD PARTY LIABILITY INSURANCE
