Several years ago Margaret Carter and the late Mrs Betty Gilchrist decided to present a junior rally shield. Points were awarded in three areas that consisted of pony turnout, rider turnout and how well you have listened, improved and tried throughout your instruction. The shield will again be awarded for this year’s rallies. The points are added together at the end of the rallies and the shield and rosettes will be awarded at the Junior Presentation evening. All the points are kept very secret, only the organisers know. However, the person judging your turnout marks will give you some helpful hints.

Drinks and biscuits will be provided. Don’t forget to thank your instructor and you might want feeding but please sort out your pony first. Can parents/helpers help put equipment away before you go home.

• Please write separate cheques & forms for each rally.
  
• Cheques can be post-dated to the date of the rally.
  
• Rally cancellations – we require at least two weeks notice (14 days) if you wish to cancel your place on the rally or your cheque will still be cashed, unless you have a vet’s or doctor’s certificate to say why you cannot attend. We still have to pay for the hire of venues and instructors but if we have a waiting list we will try and fill your place and your cheque will be destroyed. Otherwise within this period if you find someone to take your place we are also happy to substitute your booking.
  
• Tidy dress is expected please ie shirt and tie and/or sweatshirt/fleece, jodhpurs of a beige, blue or black colour, Jackets are not compulsory, but please wear one if you have one, correct footwear must be worn. Junior’s arms must be covered at all times when mounted.
  
• Hard hats PAS015 or BSEN1384 must be worn when mounted.
  
• Only competing horses/ponies may be ridden on the showground on show days.
  
• Please bring a head collar to tie your pony up when it is not being ridden.
  
• PARENTS OF CHILDREN UNDER 17 ARE REQUESTED NOT TO LEAVE THEIR CHILDREN UNACCOMPANIED. A PARENT OR HELPER MUST STAY AT THE RALLY WITH THEIR CHILD.
